James has recently returned from competing in The Winter Trial, one of the great classic european rallies. Navigating for Herman Maas in a 1967 Volvo 122S, the rally started from Baden Baden and took the intrepid crew through snow and ice across Germany, Czech Republic and Slovenia to the finish in Austria. Competing on the Trial route, 6 days of snowy roads and two night loops sorted the men from the boys and the crew finished 4th in class and 16th overall in a field of 100. The trial attracts top classic rally competitors from all over Europe so is a great networking opportunity and another chance to catch up on the continental market place.
