James, his partner Jane and friends Vic and Craig, recently took part in the Micro Marathon from Toulouse to Carcassonne via San Sebastian, Alcaniz, Tarragona and Andorra taking in high mountain passes, barren landscapes and the fantastic international kart circuit at the new Motorland Arragon. The team competed in the pair of Subaru 360s that James imported from Japan and restored several years ago. Both cars performed superbly and took the steep and adventurous route in their stride, even in the 35º temperatures. Unfortunately at the end of day 5 when in third position, James yellow car had a terminal engine problem after a bearing failed. However Vic and Craig in the White car went on to win the event overall, beating a Messerschmitt Tiger which had a lot more power.

There is a huge interest in the Microcar market and following the Bruce Weiner collection, auctioned in 1997 for over double the estimated value, many of them have shown significantly increased values - a BMW Isetta fetched in excess of $45k in March this year.
