The sun shone again on the Goodwood Revival meeting, for three days of superb cars and a wonderful period atmosphere. The feature race The Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration saw an amazing grid, valued at £150m, won by Bobby Rahal and Adrian Newey in a Jaguar Lightweight E-type. Sir Stirling Moss celebrated his 80th birthday in style with a collection of 80 significant cars, including the Aston Martin DB1 in which he clinched the sports car world championship at Goodwood in 1959. Bonhams held their traditional sale in what is still a strong market taking £3.87m and selling 85% confirming that classic cars are still buoyant.
Ross and Ewing had a low key presence with the 1951 George Barris Jaguar XK120 on display and James as usual had his own Renault 4cv convertible and Fiat 600d Multipla in action as period taxi's, helping to keep the event running smoothly transporting drivers and VIPs around the site.
